Herders Mission To Track Bandits Who Killed Their Colleague Turns Tragic Leaving 3 People Injured

Reports from the nation reveal that bandits struck again earlier today, leading to the death of one person and injuring others.
According to the Nation, in the latest attack that occurred on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, bandits ambushed some herders in Baringo and immediately shot one of the herders dead, forcing his fellow herders to flee for their lives.

The sad incident was reported to have happened in the early morning hours of 9 a.m. near the Bartalo hills, when the herders were taking their cattle to graze.

Immediately after the attack, reports from the nation claim that the other herders who had taken safety emerged from their hiding grounds and started pursuing the armed bandits that had killed their colleague and also fled with their cattle.

While the herders were in hot pursuit, they were once again ambushed by the heartless bandits, who managed to injure three more members. It seems the second attack severely weakened the relentless herders, since they resorted to taking their injured colleagues to the hospital. Luckly for them, a good Samaritan from Ruko Conservancy offered a boat that was used to take the three injured men to a nearby health facility by traversing through Lake Baringo.

Despite military efforts in the region, it seems the bandits are relentless in wreaking havoc on the innocent residents.
